Wycliffe Ochiaga appointed as CEO of Lake Basin Development Authority.

Wycliffe Ochiaga has been named the acting managing director of the Kisumu-based Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) by East African Community and Regional Development Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano.

Dr. Raymond Omollo has subsequently been appointed Interior Principal Secretary, and Mr. Ochiaga now takes his place (PS).

PS Omollo officially handed over to Ochiaga on Friday at the LBDA headquarters in Mamboleo while asking his successor to make sure that he maintains the organization’s reputation as a leader.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Ochiaga served as LBDA’s Director of Internal Audit. He was in charge of enhancing the authority’s internal controls, corporate governance, and legal requirements.

He is a skilled accountant with more than ten years of expertise in corporate governance, auditing, and financial management.

The University of Nairobi has awarded Mr. Ochiaga a Master of Business Administration in Finance, and Maseno University has awarded him a Bachelor of Business Administration with Information Technology.

He belongs to the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Institute of Directors, and the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
