Wajackoyah Slams DP Gachagua For “Interfering” In Nairobi Politics

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has come under fire from Roots party leader Prof. George Wajackoyah for what he called interfering with Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja’s duties.

Wajackoyah contends that DP Gachagua ought to refrain from interfering with the operations of the Nairobi County government and let Governor Sakaja carry out his duties free from excessive interference.

The former candidate for president made his remarks on Monday after watching the Emuhaya youth talent show. He also cautioned the DP against allegedly trying to split Nairobi along tribal lines.

Gachagua recently opposed Governor Sakaja’s proposal to prohibit matatus from the Nairobi Central Business District, and now this (CBD.)

The county executive’s idea was challenged by Gachagua, who said it would ruin the economy of the capital.
