“What is the difference between Makueni and Kilifi? Why is it Makueni has got industries and Kilifi has not.

People are getting Jobs there but our county is lagging… Whatever Kingi has failed to do for you I will deliver once I take over the office God willing,” said Jumwa.

Besides bringing her gubernatorial plans to the fore, Jumwa launched a scathing attack at her governor Amason Kingi and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho over their allegiance to ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The Malindi MP castigated the two for derailing the development agenda of the Mijikenda people saying supporting Raila over the years has brought nothing to the coastal people.

“For over 15 years we have helped Raila, what can we count as a benefit for that gesture?

What can we count if not the perennial cry of the Mijikenda people that despite even having devolution we can see anything substantial done here in Kilifi County?” posed Jumwa.

Over her recent woes, Jumwa asked Malindi residents to stay put and never to worry of her saying: ” the gold that shines never passed through the cold water but a high level of heat.”
