The National Police Service (NPS) claims that the impact of the collision, which forced both cars to deviate off the road, was what started the fire.
The victims were rescued by Maai Mahiu Police Station officers who arrived at the scene shortly.
They are currently receiving care at the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital, claims NPS.
In the meantime, drivers have been advised to exercise caution, especially during this festive and rainy season.
