The gov’t issues a three-day ultimatum to Tiaty bandits.

The multi-agency search for a lost firearm following a bandit attack in Turkana East, Turkana County, will conclude on Monday.
According to Tiaty Sub-county Deputy Commissioner Jackton Orieny, five weapons have been discovered, and officials are focusing their efforts on the final firearm, which is said to be stashed in the Akoret district of Tiaty, Baringo County.

Orieny was speaking at a conference of county authorities, professionals, elders, and religious leaders to examine the bandit threat in the region.

The authorities there demanded that action be taken against the bandits who are generating instability in Baringo and the North Rift area.

The incident in Namariat, Kapedo/Napeitom ward, which murdered eight police officers, adds to the expanding list of cops ambushed and slain by bandits, which has become a pain in the flesh of successive governments.
