Ruto’s UDA Gets Lion’s Share Of Political Parties’ Fund

After receiving more than half a billion shillings, President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party is poised to benefit greatly from the political parties’ money.

This is in accordance with a gazette notification published on November 2, 2022, by the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, awarding funding to 48 political parties for the fiscal year 2022–2023.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), led by Raila Odinga, would receive Ksh. 308,260,679, while UDA came out on top with Ksh. 577,162,898.

With Ksh. 135,113,518 coming in third place, the Jubilee Party of former President Uhuru Kenyatta was followed by Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper, DAP-K, UDM, ANC, and Ford-Kenya (Ksh.25,863,869).
