A suspect thought to be responsible for the murder of Kennedy Bitonye Oyatsi, a driver at the Kenya School of Law who was 47 years old, is being held by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Ongata Rongai.
The horrific act is said to have been committed on the evening of November 19 by the suspect, 27-year-old Jacklyn Zakayo. The deceased neighbors claimed that when they heard a disturbance and loud screams, they hurried to the scene.
When the neighbors arrived, they saw blood splatters on the floor of the rental apartment and what they thought to be the murder weapon—a broken kitchen knife.
Kennedy was rushed to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The police claim that they are currently speaking with additional witnesses in an effort to piece together the true circumstances leading up to the horrific murder.
