One Suspect Arrested Over Brutal Murder Of LGBTQ Activist Edwin Chiloba.

In connection with the horrific murder of model and fashion designer Edwin Chiloba, 26, detectives in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, have detained one suspect.

On Wednesday afternoon, Chiloba’s body was found stuffed inside a metal box in Kipkenyo, Eldoret.

Witnesses claimed to have seen unidentified attackers dump off the metal box at the side of the road before swerving off at high speed.

In the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue, the deceased’s family is still in shock and wants justice for their kin as human rights activists continue to denounce the murder.

On New Year’s Eve, at a bar in Eldoret town, Chiloba’s sister recalls their final moments spent together.

Residents placed a distress call on Wednesday afternoon after unidentified assailants put a metallic box along the Kipkenyo-Katinga route and fled.

Chiloba had other wounds, and preliminary investigations showed that his eye had been gouged out. On Friday, the body underwent an autopsy.

Chiloba, a fourth-year student at the University of Eldoret, had a bright future ahead of him. He had established a successful career as a model and fashion designer and was outspoken about LGBTQ issues.

Human rights organizations have denounced the event and demanded prompt investigations in response to the public outcry over his murder.

A suspect connected to the murder has been detained by Langas police, and they are questioning him right now in an effort to solve the murder’s conundrum.
