After being nabbed with their pants down in her marital home, a 45-year-old lady and a 22-year-old guy were both taken into custody in Nyamira County.
In Botonianda village, Egetonto district, angry members of the public attacked the two lovers with kicks and blows as detectives from Nyamusi police station in Nyamira North moved in.
When the woman’s husband, a driver for a firm in Homa Bay, got home around midnight, his repeated knocks on the door went unanswered.
Witnesses reported that after his wife was unable to open the door, the woman’s husband called the Nyumba Kumi elders in the area.
The 22-year-old guy, who is from Bobasi in Kisii, opened the door after the intervention only to be met by a mob that was raging with fury.
The two are being held by police, according to Patrick Ngeiywa, the chief of police for Nyamira North, as the distraught spouse tries to make sense of what is happening.
