
The murder of a 19-year-old university student, whose body was discovered in a Nakuru city home, is shrouded in mystery.
Phyllis Jepleting, a first-year student at Karatina University studying math and biology, was found dead in a man’s home in Naka Estate, Nakuru County, on January 1, according to detectives working the case.
According to authorities, the teenager has been missing since Christmas Day and the man is thought to be her boyfriend.
The deceased had blood gushing from the mouth, nose, and ears, according to preliminary results.
An investigation is still continuing on to find the suspect, who is a person of interest in the case.
Police stated that they were unsure of the incident’s cause and that the guy who is the subject of interest had his phone off since Boxing Day.
When they arrived on the scene, police reported finding Jepleting’s identifying papers among the items collected and learning that she is from Aldai.
Her body was sent to the mortuary at Nakuru Level Five Hospital while a post-mortem was performed to ascertain the cause of death.
Jepleting passed away in such circumstances, becoming the second student to do so in a week.
