A man is being sought by police in Nakuru for reportedly killing his wife with a knife.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said in a statement on Sunday that Thomas Njuguna is suspected of killing his 41-year-old wife in cold blood on March 3 due to domestic strife.
The report further stated that Winnie Chepkurui’s body was discovered in her children’s bedroom, covered in blood, with many stab wounds to her face, chest, and belly.
Njuguna is thought to have left his house as a result of the event.
DCI continued by stating that more inquiries had shown Njuguna had been issuing death threats to his family, who had subsequently been given custody of his kids.
Any information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts from the general public is strongly encouraged.
A manhunt is being conducted in the interim to find the suspect, who is still at large.
