
On Tuesday night in Nairobi, police shot and killed a suspected gangster who was terrorizing locals in the Mukuru-Mariguini slum in the Starehe sub-county.
According to Judith Nyongesa, the head of the Makadara police department, the cops also found three mobile phones, a police radio, and a handmade weapon.
Two of his companions were present during the incident but managed to flee on foot. Police are searching for one of the suspects, a female, in connection with several crimes that have been committed across the city. The dead criminal was identified by police as Stanley, also known as “Untouchable.”
Residents informed Ms. Nyongesa’s officers that a gang of three was robbing individuals at gunpoint near South B’s Mariakani Road.
She claimed that one of the suspects pulled a gun and began shooting at the officers when they told them to surrender.
According to Ms. Nyongesa, “during the disturbance, the police shot and killed the suspect who was carrying a weapon while his two accomplices managed to flee on foot.”
She identified the victim as a renowned felon who resided in the Shauri Moyo estate.
She said, “Among those who escaped is a notorious lady who is suspected of transporting weapons to suspects.
A local daily was informed by Makadara DCIO Felix Nyamai Kithuku.
Detectives from Africa are looking into the event.
“The suspects who got away are allegedly a threat to public safety. We will detain them using expert techniques, “Added Mr. Kithuku.
As per Ms. Nyongesa, over the holiday season, the police increased their patrols in Makadara. She thanked the general public for supplying the security officers with relevant data.
