After his tuktuk was involved in a deadly collision on Tuesday night in the Likoni Constituency of Mombasa County, the traffic police passed away on-spot.
Before colliding head-on with a fast motorcycle, the officer is claimed to have detained the Tuktuk with the intention of getting it to Likoni police station.
The incident was confirmed by Timothy Muasya, the Likoni constituency’s chief of police, who stated that the officer passed away at the scene and the motorcycle rider suffered significant injuries.
The officer’s body was taken to Mombasa County’s main hospital mortuary, while the injured were sent directly to the Likoni district hospital, where they are still receiving treatment.
