In Bombolulu Estate, Mombasa County, a middle-aged woman’s body was found in a bush.
According to witnesses, her throat was slit, and her body was found a short distance from a pool of blood. She was known only as “mama Afrika,” and she formerly held multiple rental properties in Bombolulu.
According to preliminary investigations, she was killed on Wednesday night before having her body thrown in the bush.
According to locals, the woman is always seen operating between Kisimani and Bombolulu areas along the Mombasa – Malindi route, and is well known to a group of sex workers in the area.
Residents have now urged the authorities to step up security, citing an event identical to this one that occurred a month ago when another body was also found in the area.
As per reports, the victim was raped in the middle of the night before being severely dismembered and dumped in the bush. Authorities have not yet taken the victim’s body to the morgue as their hunt for her killers gets underway.
