Missing watchman found dead in an abandoned classroom

Residents of Gichugu are in disbelief after discovering the body of a watchman who vanished seven days earlier in an abandoned classroom.

Pupils at Kanjuu Primary School were playing when they came across the guard’s decomposing body, who was later identified as 62-year-old Peter Chomba Ndumbi.

The guard, who worked at the same school, reportedly vanished on Friday of last week for an unexplained reason, according to authorities in Gichugu.

Playing pupils discovered the body and notified their teachers, who then called the police.

An autopsy will be performed, according to the police, to determine the cause of death.
