Marcus Rashford Signs New Contract with Manchester United

Marcus Rashford, Manchester United forward, has extended his contract, keeping him with the team through 2024, the English team said on Saturday.

According to the Independent newspaper, his new contract, which pays him an estimated £250,000 per week plus bonuses, makes him the highest-paid English player in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old and Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, and Fred all reached an agreement on a new contract after their present deals expired at the end of the current campaign.

The England attacker, who graduated from United’s academy, was a member of the team that advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals this month.

United coach Erik Ten Hag said, “We want to develop, we want to assist those players, and we want them to stay in our process.

These players must be a part of the squad if it is to be built for the long term, he continued.

Brazilian right back Dalot, a 25-year-old English left-back, joined the 20-time league champions in 2018. Brazilian midfielder Fred, who turns 30 in March, moved from Shakhtar Donetsk four seasons ago, while Shaw arrived four years previously.

Following the World Cup break, Ten Hag’s fifth-placed team hosts Nottingham Forest on Tuesday to resume Premier League play.
