A 39-year-old father of four who was caught trying to get his daughter, who is 18 years old, an abortion is currently being held at the Njoro police station in Nakuru County.
It is believed that the pregnancy was caused by the man.
The father went to pick up his daughter from school in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, according to Amani sub location assistant chief Milka Lang’at, with the intention of getting her an abortion.
According to reports, the girl is three months pregnant.
The man is claimed to have been led to a side street in Njoro town after being deceived by villagers into returning home to carry out the process.
According to Langat, the girl admitted to having been coerced into the illegitimate relationship with her dad for 4 years and claimed that when she tried to get her mother involved, she was threatened with severe repercussions.
She stated that after the police finish their investigations, the man will face charges for incest and defilement in addition to others.
