The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has threatened to file a lawsuit to block President William Ruto’s selection of 50 Chief Administrative Secretaries.
The nomination of 50 CAS’s, according to LSK President Eric Theuri, is in opposition to what the Head of Public Service requested and received from the Public Service Commission—23 declared vacancies in that position.
Theuri stated that the additional costs associated with CASs should be used to fight hunger and carry out development projects while speaking in Mombasa on Saturday.
“The President broke the law when he did what he did. On Monday, we will appear in court. “This, in our opinion, is politically motivated and is not in accordance with the law, PSC stated in court that they wanted to establish 23 roles under the public participation and that was the limit.” the LSK head added.
