A multi-agency security squad from Kirima Sub County, Laikipia County, shot and killed four suspected bandits.
John Orata, the area deputy county commissioner, claims that the security team pursued the cattle-raiding bandits from Mugie ranch and eventually caught up with them in the Posta region of Relit village.

The four suspects were neutralized during a gunfight between the bandits and the security officers.

From the alleged attackers, security officers seized a G3 rifle, an M-16 assault rifle, an AK-47, and four double AK-47 pouches.

Security officers pursued other attackers who fled the onslaught while the four victims were carried to the mortuary at Nyahururu County and Referral Hospital for identification and post-mortems.

In a statement, Orata said the government was resolute in combating banditry attacks and livestock raids in the region and urged the populace to work with it to help end the scourge.
