Two men were detained by police on Monday in Nyakach, Kisumu County, in connection with a string of robberies that had occurred recently in the city.
According to the police, Moses Adhiambo, alias Olaa, and Calvin Ochieng were flushed out of their hiding place in Kamiyoro village and stolen property of unknown value was recovered.
Their arrest came as a result of a heist in which two residents were accosted and assaulted by four thugs. The attackers then trashed the victims’ home and stole their televisions, music systems, mobile phones, and other electrical goods.
They both left the scene, and their two accomplices are still at large.
The police reported that they also found a stone of bhang and 16 liters of the local chang’aa brew in the suspects’ hiding place.
