A fire incident that occurred on Saturday morning in the Chemelil region and reduced a church to ashes is being investigated by police in Muhoroni Sub-County, Kisumu County.
Around mid-morning, a fire broke out at the Miracle Revival Fellowship Pentecostal Church, which is close to the Chemelil roundabout; the cause is yet unknown.
Nearby residents hurried to the scene to put out the fire but were overpowered.
The church’s leadership is currently calculating its damages after the whole church’s equipment caught fire.
Police note that no injuries were reported in the incident and that the cause of the fire is currently the focus of investigations.
