On Wednesday, a police officer based at Kirinyaga County’s Kerugoya Police station was discovered hanging from the roof of his rented house.

He had been missing since Monday, according to his caretaker Ann Wanjiru, who claimed to have gone to check on him.

Wanjiru claimed that after unsuccessful attempts to enter the door, she used an instrument to peer through the window and found a body hanging from the roof.

Kamukunji Assistant Chief Julius Ngari confirmed the occurrence, saying that the deceased’s coworkers had been seeking for him when he failed to show up at the police station.

In order to curb the rise in suicides around the nation, Ngari further recommended citizens to always check in on one another.

The deceased’s body has already been transported to the mortuary at Kerugoya Hospital.
