After a car and truck collided head-on on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway in the Lari constituency of Kiambu county, two persons perished instantly.
Eyewitnesses claim that the collision happened when the Prado car attempted to pass another vehicle while heading towards Naivasha.
The truck’s driver and one passenger have been identified as dead, while the other passengers have been sent to various hospitals for treatment after suffering critical injuries.
This is not the first disaster in the area, according to locals who observed the tragedy, and they warned drivers to drive carefully, especially as the rainy season draws near.
The vehicles were towed to Uplands police station while the two deceased’ bodies were taken to the mortuary at Kijabe hospital.
