Having reportedly impregnated his daughter, a minor, a 47-year-old male from Kagambwa village in Gatundu North, Kiambu County is in arrest.
According to reports, David Mbugua, a father of three, regularly engaged in sex with his biological daughter, luring her with a variety of behaviors.
However, his early-year binges were more fruitful since after allegedly committing the heinous act, his 15-year-old daughter became pregnant, which resulted in a healthy delivery on December 28, 2022.
The minor’s mother, Virginia Muthoki, claims that she began to have suspicions about the two because of her husband’s odd behavior and infrequent vacations with the daughter.
Following several suspicions, Muthoki told Mbugua about the situation, and he vowed to punish her if she ever revealed what had happened.
“Whenever I’ve brought up the matter with him, he has always threatened me. You want to take me to jail? he frequently asked me. I am currently helpless, so I’m asking the government for assistance, Muthoki stated.
It’s interesting to note that Mbugua allegedly persuaded Muthoki to help him take the child to his sister’s home in Naivasha, where she gave birth, in order to conceal evidence in the community.
Despite this, Muthoki and a couple of his neighbors organized, alerted detectives, and together they apprehended the suspect before they escaped to safer areas because of concern that he may be mistreated if released.
Speaking to journalists, neighbors said that the act could only have been committed by a beast.
The embarrassed villagers pleaded the authorities and other law enforcement institutions to teach the culprit a lesson so that such situations wouldn’t happen again in the village.
