Following the nationwide power outage, the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has released a statement.
Kenya Power claimed in a statement that a hitch was to blame for the blackout and that it is now being fixed.
The outage has impacted many areas of the nation, including the Coast, Nairobi, Nakuru, Nanyuki, and the Kiambu region.
We lost electricity at 11:09 AM this morning because of a system disturbance that affected areas of the Nairobi, Coast, and Mt. Kenya regions. We are collaborating with other sector stakeholders to quickly restore the power supply.
Kenya Power issued a statement saying, “We apologize to our consumers for the inconvenience caused.”
