Mass weddings will be held by the government to promote police officers getting married.
To support family values and chaplaincy, this will be handled by the Office of the Spouse of the Deputy President (OSDP).
Second Lady Dorcas Rigathi announced that she will personally attend the annual mass weddings in favor of the police having healthy families on Sunday during the commissioning of 11 police officers to serve as bishops, evangelists, and pastors at the Nyeri Administration Police Line.
“We will cooperate to support the sanctity and honor of marriage as well as to enhance families. We will promote strong family bonds, and to do this, we will work with the National Officers Service to plan annual mass weddings for uniformed police “Mrs. Rigathi stated.
She said that in order to promote solid family values throughout the security service, her office will work in tandem with the police chaplaincy, which is headed by Bishop Dr. Kipkoech Kibet, Chief Chaplain of the APs.
The Second Lady mentioned that she had been married to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for 35 years, reinforcing her opinion that healthy families serve as the fundamental building block of society.
“Even as we observe today’s event, when our security officers are commissioned to the priesthood, a transformation is taking place in this nation. I implore all officers to uphold the truth at all times, and they will succeed, she continued.
