When it was clear that the president-elect Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto’s government would no longer pose the major position of having the majority of the leaders in Parliament, in which William Ruto might have hoped to support his agenda, William Ruto would face a blow.
Azimio la Umoja, the coalition responsible for driving the majority Leaders of Parliament, has a total of 173 MPs as compared with 160 MPs chosen as members of William Ruto’s organisation of Kenyan Kwanza Coalition together with the United Democratic Alliance UDA.
He would not achieve anything by having fusion with the Kenya Kwanza party along with the United Democratic Movement (UDM), Maendeleo Chap Chap and the African Pamoja Union APU, as a way of governing the political formation alliances only giving them a chance to be recognized as members of Kenya Kwanza.
The majority head in parliament is a member of a coalition or party that has the majority Leaders in the legislative house and not the government in power.
