Ngegu Beach in Rangwe Constituency is in mourning following the drowning of a fisherman.
The 28-year-old fisherman perished in Lake Victoria after jumping off a moving boat.
The event took place when a fishing trip was underway in West Kochia.
According to his peers, Clinton Oguta, the deceased, perished shortly after diving into the water.
The deceased had informed colleagues that he intended to take a bath, according to Caleb Oketch, chairman of the Ngengu Beach Management Unit.
He stated that local fisherman were successful in recovering the body of their colleague who hails from the village of Sota in Kochia.
The body has been delivered to Homa Bay Mortuary.
