
Isaiah Mosiori Osugo, a former , passed away at the age of 67.
Osugo, who was battling cancer, passed on Monday night at or around 7 o’clock, according to sources. He was receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
The story added that Osugo had also sought medical attention in India, but his illness had only gotten worse.
From his previous position as the head of the Nairobi provincial Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Commissioner Osugo was promoted to the correctional department as the commissioner general of prisons in 2008 by the late president Mwai Kibaki, succeeding Gilbert Omondi, who had retired.
On March 19, 2019, Osugo’s employment with the department came to an end, making Wycliffe Ogalo the next commissioner general.
