Edwin Sifuna: We Will Have A Very Difficult Time At The Senate

The election of Amason Kingi as the speaker of the senate led to a walk out by the senators under the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalation.

They have highlighted that the clerk of the senate did not give them enough time to process the information given to them by the seven candidates.

Sifuna has revealed that their efforts to communicate with the clerk did not bear any fruits. He went ahead to note that everything was done in haste inorder to deny them an opportunity to ask questions over the credentials of the candidates.

He was keen to note that they were not provided with the proper documentation of integrity of the candidate Amason Kingi. He went ahead to note that the curriculum vitae were produced just some few minutes to the voting process.

He went ahead to note that they were denied the opportunity to address their concerns which is a clear indication of how things will be hard in the thirteenth parliament.
