Eliud Owalo, the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, has stated that the Kenya Kwanza government, headed by President William Ruto, is prepared to collaborate with the Nyanza leadership for the empowerment of the locals.
Speaking on Sunday at a food distribution exercise, Owalo urged the region’s elected and unelected officials to make use of the government’s open policy to advance the region’s economic agenda.
The CS, who was accompanied by several politicians, including the MP for Suba South Caroli Omondi, the former MP for Rangwe Martin Ogindo, and the deputy county commissioner for Ugunja Sub County Felix Watakila, declared that the current administration was committed to keeping the promises it made to Kenyans during the campaigns.
He asserted that the Ruto-led administration would only pursue political initiatives that would advance economic development.
At the conclusion of our time, we would like the Kenya Kwanza government to be held responsible for keeping the commitments we made, added Owalo.
He warned that incidences of food disappearance would not be tolerated and urged the national government administration officers to make sure that the humanitarian food supplies reached the designated recipients.
