Kasavuli, who just revealed her fight with cervical cancer, passed away on Thursday night in Nairobi.
Ms. Kasavuli, the nation’s first female TV news anchor, is recognized with shattering the glass ceiling for women working in television journalism.
Kasavuli graced Kenyan TV screens as an anchor at most of Kenya’s top television stations, including Citizen TV, State broadcaster KBC, and KTN, during her successful career, which soared between the 1990s and 2015.
In 2020, Kasavuli made a comeback to KBC and hosted the Legend Edition.
