Wilson Muraya, the OCPD for Bungoma, has stated that a 24-year-old man was discovered dead at his residence on Monday.
Social media is how the deceased’s mother Nancy Wakhungu, a court employee in Migori, found out about her son Joel’s passing. Since none of Joel’s phone numbers could be reached, she sent his brother Derrick Bett to check on him out of concern.
Joel’s family was informed of his gruesome death by Derrick when he arrived at the place he live in Kiwanjandege. Eunice Khisa, Joel’s landlord, claims that he was murdered on Sunday night by unidentified assailants; however, neighbors were unaware because his girlfriend frequently paid him visits. Only the next day, when they arrived to turn off excess water, did they learn about the tragedy.
Joel was employed by the auto lending company Watu Credit as an ICT officer at the time of his death.
He had a good career and had graduated from Maseno University in 2019. The family wants the police to speed the ongoing inquiries along.
Wilson Muraya, the OCPD for Bungoma South, confirmed the incidence and encouraged Kenyans to exercise caution in their neighborhoods to prevent heinous murders.
