Azimio convokes its lawmakers for a’Crucial Decision Making’ meeting

A Parliamentary Group meeting for all of the lawmakers in the Azimio La Umoja coalition has been called.

In a memo to lawmakers on Monday, National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed announced that the meeting will take place on Tuesday at the SKM Command Center in Karen, Nairobi, beginning at 11 AM.

Honorable members, it is imperative that you attend this PG because critical decisions will be made, stated Mohamed.

There have been rumors in several media outlets that the organization led by Raila Odinga is split apart.

After Fatuma Dullo’s name was removed from the list of individuals permitted to sit on the Parliamentary Service Commission at the beginning of this month, some Jubilee Party MPs threatened to abandon the coalition (PSC).

Later, coalition-supporting senators held a news conference to deny reports that the alliance had broken apart and to reaffirm its continued strength.

Led by Senator Ledama Olekina of Narok, the senators asserted that they had met with Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Uhuru Kenyatta, the coalition’s leaders, and given them assurances that there are no divisions among the leaders of Azimio in the Senate.
