Ruto To Address UN General Assembly Tonight

Kenya’s President William Ruto will make his inaugural address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday night in New York City, USA. 

Ruto is expected to take the stage at 9.00 PM EAT to deliver Kenya’s national statement, his Director of Communications Hussein Mohamed has said. 

In his first address to the United Nations, Ruto will seek to promote Kenya’s Foreign Policy at the multilateral system, including enhancing participation in the quest for realisation of Sustainable Development Goals and global leadership in emerging issues such as climate change.

Additionally, the President is expected to lead Kenya’s quest to harness relations with the United States of America guided by the 5 pillars of bilateral strategic dialogue partnership.

At the United States, Ruto is also expected to hold talks with senior representatives of the American businesses to advocate for increased trade and investment between the two countries.
