‘Behold, Victory Is Coming Home,’ Says Martha Karua

Azimio la Umoja- One Kenya coalition Deputy Presidential candidate Martha Karua has expressed confidence in emerging winner after the dispute around the 2022 Presidential Election is resolved.

Addressing the press on Wednesday, Karua assured their supporters that they will be seeking all legal and constitutional avenues to seek justice.

“Our is victory differed but victory is coming home to everyone as we explore all legal and constitutional avenues. Thank you for supporting us and we will not let you down,” she said.

Karua further claimed that the Azimio camp holds a high stake in Parliamentary seats as they have more number of MPs than their rival camp Kenya Kwanza.

She, therefore, said that they will be planning on how to execute and implement their mandate in government.

“Our figures show that we command the National Assembly, in the Senate, our competitors are up by one but in the National Assembly we command,” she said.

Karua was speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) after a meeting with affiliate leaders who were elected in the just-concluded polls.

Her assurance comes after Azimio’s presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga rejected presidential results which showed UDA Party candidate William Ruto was the election winner.

Raila vowed that he would be moving to court to challenge the results which he has since termed as “null and void”.
