Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has endorsed ODM leader Raila Odinga for the Presidency.
In a video, the presidential candidate was addressing supporters at a club during which he endorsed Raila for the top seat.
“Because of that, man (Raila). The man whose tears come out every day because of what happened to him in jail, including me. I am here to join liberators. And the person I look at, the person who makes me stand here is none other than Raila Odinga,” Wajackoya said.
The endorsement comes a few days before the August 9 polls.
Wajckoyah has been polled third in many opinions with paltry less than 5 per cent support.
His endorsement of Raila now sets the stage for a fierce battle with Deputy President William Ruto.
The two have been billed as the top contenders for the seat.
Another candidate in the race is Agano party candidate Waihiga Mwaure David.
