A bus with 29 passengers and a dead body on board was involved in a road accident at the Narok-Mai Mahiu road on Tuesday morning.
The 4 a.m. incident at the Pinyiny blackspot injured seven passengers, including a three-year-old child.
The bus driver was nowhere to be found after the accident; the victims were rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.
The mourners had a coffin with a dead body on board and had travelled from Mombasa, heading to Homabay for a burial.
A police report indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle that later overturned on the right hand side of the road.
The incident comes months after another hearse was involved in a road accident on the Narok-Mai Mahiu road.
In the May 21 incident, eight mourners died after a mini-bus collided head-on with a lorry near Mafuta Taa centre.
The eight were believed to be flower farm workers from Naivasha who were on their way back from a burial.
