Another Nairobi Expressway Accident At The Mlolongo Toll Station, Over 20 People Injured

An accident has occurred at the Nairobi expressway, barely a week after another accident at the Mlolongo toll station. 

The accident involved an Embassava bus and a personal vehicle at the Mlolongo Toll station on the Nairobi Expressway.

According to a video seen by a local daily, witnesses are seen rushing to the scene to help the victims. 

According to images circulating on social media, one of the Toll plaza is completely crushed. 

It’s not clear how many people have been injured in the accident. 

This comes barely a week after one person died and several others were injured in an accident at the Mlolongo Toll station involving a speeding motorist.

Over 20 people who were in the PSV mini-bus were rushed to various hospitals within the city including Kenyatta National Hospital, Machakos Level 5 and Shalom Community hospital.

Confirming the accident the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) multiple injuries had been reported from the scene.

“Motorists are notified of an accident that has occurred along the Nairobi Expressway at the Mlolongo Toll Station, involving a PSV mini-bus. Multiple injuries have been reported, and traffic police are attending to the scene. Motorists are advised to exit/enter the Expressway at the Syokimau Toll Station, even as rescue efforts are underway at the scene of the accident,” KeNHA said.
