A probe has been initiated by police in Nyatike, Kisii County into the death of a 60-year-old man who committed suicide on Wednesday night in the Kiasa sub-location.
Sub-location of Kiasa The body of the dead, only known as Othina, was discovered hanging from a tree a short distance from his residence, according to Assistant Chief Vincent Otieno.
Otieno claims that the dead left a message before taking his own life telling one of his wives where she may find his body.
Othina left a note, but he didn’t explain why he chose to end his life.
However, the dead’s family members have stated that before to his suicide, the deceased had been vocal about his declining health.
After then, Othina’s body was taken to a nearby mortuary pending a police inquiry.
