4 Killed In Suspected Al-Shabaab Attack

Following an alleged Al-Shabaab attack in Bura East, Garissa County, four people—among them engineers from the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA)—have perished.

They were allegedly doing a normal evaluation of the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia-Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor project.

Police said that the Toyota Hilux Double Cabin model that they were traveling in exploded after running over an improvised explosive device (IED).

The fourth body is believed to have been destroyed in the bomb debris, according to the police, who also stated that three bodies had been found at the scene.
