28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of stabbing his 22-year-old girlfriend.

A suspect has been arrested by Siaya County police in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, a Siaya Institute of Technology graduate.

The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, is said to have been murdered and her body dumped along the Bondo-Usenge road.

According to police, the deceased was fatally stabbed on November 24, 2022, following a heated argument between the two lovers.

According to police, Paul Onyango Oloo, 28, was apprehended in his hiding place after a public tip, and he has been identified as the murder suspect.

“The two had disagreements at Rabango estate in Siaya town, where the murder occurred,” said Siaya County Police Chief Benedict Mwangangi.

The victim, who was 22 years old at the time of her death, had recently completed her studies at the Siaya Institute of Technology.

The body was later transferred to the Siaya County Referral Hospital morgue pending an autopsy.

Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death at the hands of the suspect.

On Monday, the suspect will be charged.
