Nzioka Waita, Machakos Governor Aspirant Launches Manifesto

Chama Cha Uzalendo party governor’s candidate for Machakos Nzioka Waita has launched his manifesto.

The former State House Chief of Staff, speaking on Saturday during the launch, said his manifesto is informed by the wishes of Machakos county residents who he consulted during the numerous listening tours he conducted across the 40 wards of the County.

The manifesto stands on six pillars of Health, Agriculture, Water, Education, Tourism and Jobs creation.

Even as he seeks the support of the residents of Machakos, Waita did not shy away from faulting the outgoing county government over what he terms as poor service delivery.

Nzioka promised to introduce a one year tax moratorium for market vendors across the county if he gets elected governor.

He also promised to actualize promotion of county government workers and smooth working environment.

Waita is the First Gubernatorial Aspirant to launch his Manifesto flanked by her Running mate Florence Mwangangi, in a race that is shaping into a battle of political heavyweights in the county and beyond.
