13,221 schools have been approved to host junior secondary

To date, 13, 221 schools have received approval from the Ministry of Education to host junior secondary beginning at the end of January.

Out of the 14,598 public and private schools that had been evaluated as of January 13, 2023, this is the number.

As a result, 1,377 out of the evaluated schools were unable to accommodate junior secondary education.

Ezekiel Machogu, the Education Cabinet Secretary, declared the school fee for junior secondary will be KES 15,000 on Monday when announcing the KCPE placement results.
