A road accident involving a 14-seater Matatu has this late evening happened at Mukala area’s along the busy Thika-Mwingi road.
According to a reliable source, a grisly road accident involving a Matatu has this evening been witnessed near Sofia Town along Thika-Mwingi road. Sadly, the accident has reportedly left a four year old baby dead and 14 other travellers injured.
On the cause of the accident, sources reveals that the Matatu lost control after reaching Mukala area’s, rolled several times before coming to an abrupt stop away from the main road.
The injured have quickly been rushed to Matuu Level 4 Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
Photos of the accident scene that have since been shared shows the wrecked vehicle laying away from the road as hopeless eyewitness watch from a distant in disbelief and shock.
Drivers have been advised to always ensure that that take their vehicles for a through mechanical check-ups before putting them for use on the road.
